As a rule, snow removal starts in the morning and that can be done with products gotten from Ninja De-Icer for instance. But it’s best to do this right after the next blizzard. Fresh snow weighs much less than old snow, covered with crust and melted snow. Also, wet snow can melt and freeze again. And instead of a “fluffy white blanket” in the backyard, you get a makeshift, bumpy ice rink that will be much harder to clean.
Do not first clean the parking lot in front of the house. A passing snowplow will nullify your efforts because it will raise a new mass of snow. It’s best to start with a platform and path in front of the house;
Remember that an overcrowded shovel of snow shovel can contain up to 10 kg of snow.
Plan – To avoid doing the same thing twice, develop an area snow removal plan. If the front area is rectangular, start cleaning from the center. Clear snow from the perimeter and go to the middle. Gradually move from the center to the perimeter and start over. Now you can remove all snow from the site.
Clean the car – Before cleaning the area, clean the snow from the car with a special brush. This will help you avoid doing the same job twice.

- Finding the right place for a snowdrift – Choose a location for the snowdrift so that it is located in the direction of travel. It is advisable to work with a shovel before you and not throw snow to the sides. - Deep Snow – Don’t try to shovel snow into a layer. Better to remove each layer gradually. This will reduce stress on the chassis and prevent injuries.
- Relaxation – Don’t try to clean the entire site at once. Rest often and drink plenty of water. In cold weather, the body does not send signals to the brain about dehydration. So you must know this yourself. Take breaks between work to have time to rest and, with renewed vigor, begin work on the next stage of work.
- Pain – If you experience discomfort, dizziness, or pain, stop immediately. This could be the harbinger of a heart attack or spinal injury while working.
- Salt and sand – Use salt only as a last resort. When salt dissolves, it will negatively affect plant roots in your flower bed, and when the snow melts, the salt will dissolve in the water and damage your shoes. Also, salt sprinkled on the ground before a blizzard will increase the amount of drift on your walkway. Dry snow, falling on the salty ground, adheres to the soaked salty mush and is swept untreated.
